Jesus Christ Superstar é um musical rock de Andrew Lloyd Webber, com texto de Tim Rice. Apresentado em 1970, destaca as lutas políticas e pessoais de Judas Iscariotes e Jesus. A ação ocorre, na maior parte, conforme os evangelhos da Bíblia sobre a última semana da vida de Jesus, começando com a chegada a Jerusalém e terminando com a Crucificação. Atitude moderna e gírias prevalecem nas letras e há alusões irónicas à vida moderna enquanto a visão política dos acontecimentos é retratada. As produções cinematográficas e teatrais apresentam muitos anacronismos, na visão dos sectários, isto é, daqueles que querem separar política da religião. 

Grande parte do enredo é focado na personagem de Judas, que é retratado como uma figura trágica, realista e conflituosa que não está satisfeita com a aparente falta de planeamento político e afirmações de divindade de Jesus.

                                                         
Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The album musical is a musical dramatisation of the last week of the life of Jesus Christ, beginning with his entry into Jerusalem and ending with the Crucifixion. It was originally banned by the BBC on grounds of being "sacrilegious."
The album's story is based in large part on the Synoptic Gospels and Fulton J. Sheen's Life of Christ, which compares and calibrates all four Gospels. However, greater emphasis is placed on the interpersonal relationships of the major characters, in particular, Jesus, Judas and Mary Magdalene, relationships that are not described in the Bible Gospels.
The album reached #1 on the Billboard chart in 1971 and served as a launching pad for numerous stage productions on Broadway and in the West End. The original 1970 boxed-set issue of this 2-record set was packaged in the U.S. with a special thin brown cardboard outer box which contained the 2 vinyl records and a 28-page libretto.

O corpo de Ana Paula Rossi Braga, enteada do cantor Roberto Carlos, foi sepultado por volta das 17h40 deste sábado, no Cemitério do Araçá, Zona Norte da capital paulista. Demonstrando estar muito emocionado, RC acompanhou o sepultamento com orações. Ela tratava-a como filha.

Ana Paula morreu na madrugada deste sábado aos 47 anos, após sofrer uma parada cardíaca. Ela era filha de Cleonice Rossi, primeira mulher do cantor (morta em 1990), mas foi adotada por ele e incorporou o sobrenome do artista (Braga).

Cerca de 80 pessoas compareceram ao velório, na Capela do Hospital Albert Einstein, para prestar condolências a Roberto, como a cantora Martinha, o apresentador Otávio Mesquita e o padre Antônio Maria. Por conta da morte da enteada, o show marcado para a próxima terça-feira, dia do aniversário de 70 anos de Roberto Carlos, foi cancelado.

Ela passou mal durante a noite e morreu após ter uma parada cardíaca na madrugada deste sábado, em seu apartamento em Moema, na zona sul da capital. As informações foram confirmadas pela assessoria do cantor.
Ela não era filha biológica do cantor, mas ele a assumiu quando se casou com Nice, com quem teve outros dois filhos: Roberto Carlos Segundo, o Segundinho, mais conhecido como Dudu Braga, e Luciana.

Ana Paula era casada com o guitarrista de Roberto Carlos, Paulinho.

Roberto Carlos estava em São Paulo no momento da morte e, assim que soube da notícia, foi ao apartamento de Ana Paula.

Um show que Roberto faria na próxima terça-feira (19), quando o cantor completa 70 anos, no Ginásio Alvares Cabral, em Vitória, foi adiado. A informação foi publicada no site da produtora do evento.

No ano passado, a mãe de Roberto Carlos, conhecida como Lady Laura, morreu no dia 17 de Abril, aos 96 anos, também às vésperas de seu aniversário

Um comunicado foi publicado no site oficial de Roberto Carlos:
"É com grande pesar que comunicamos o falecimento de Ana Paula Rossi Braga Ferreira, a filha mais velha de Roberto Carlos e Cleonice (Nice) Rossi e esposa do músico Paulinho Ferreira. Ana Paula faleceu na madrugada de 16 de Abril de 2011, em São Paulo."

Les Blousons Noirs est un groupe des années 1960 venu de Bordeaux que l'on peut considérer comme précurseur du mouvement punk.
À noter que ce groupe ne doit pas être confondu avec Tony March & les Blousons Noirs, groupe également des années 1960 et originaire de Bordeaux mais qui n'a rien à voir avec ce groupe.

On appelait Blousons Noirs les jeunes délinquants au début des années 1960. L'appellation sera vite revendiquée par ce groupe bordelais , auteurs d'un unique 45 tours Tu parles trop x fois chanté par plusieurs artistes. "Guilain" commercialise alors les œuvres de ceux que l'on considère comme les vrais blousons noirs. Il semblerait que le groupe ait acheté ses instruments le matin et ait enregistré l'après-midi, le guitariste répète le même accord, le batteur n'a pas le sens du tempo, le chanteur chante faux. Ce qui fait un groupe de punk avant l'heure.

On ne connait malheureusement pas l'histoire des Blousons Noirs, ils doivent plus leur succès à la curiosité qu'ils procurent plutôt qu'à leur talent musical.

O mítico álbum inacabado, Landlocked

Descobriu-se que os temas integrantes faziam parte de uma compilação de canções preparadas para o álbum "Surf's Up". A prova é a presença de, entre outras, "Fallin' In Love," e "When Girls Get Together" que eram destinados ao álbum Add Some Music, mas descartadas quando o álbum foi rejeitado e reformulado em Sunflower.
Rieley propôs que um título apropriado para um novo álbum do Beach Boys era Landlocked mesmo antes de realmente ouvi-lo. Em seguida, ele decidiu que o álbum era totalmente inadequado para o título (não se sabe quem compilou, e quem ordenou a sua apresentação, mas o que está claro é que nenhum Wilson, engenheiro ou Rieley aprovou o material). O álbum nunca foi lançado oficialmente, daí a sua áurea mítica.

GS I Love You - V/A, Japanese Garage Bands of the '60s

Japan, like many non-English-speaking countries, was home to a thriving garage/beat band scene in the 1960s. The Japanese scene, at least to Western ears, was more peculiar than most: for one thing, it didn't really kick into gear until well into 1966, and Japanese groups were still playing in an early British Invasion-influenced style until the end of the decade. Singing in both Japanese and heavily accented English, the guitars (as a result of the Ventures huge popularity there) were surf-ish Mosrites, and the material was often a strange fusion of Merseybeat, punk, and over-the-top weirdness. GS I Love You is a 28-track compilation of songs originally released on the Crown and Teichiku labels, and while it's no match for the British groups (or, for that matter, the best beat/punk groups from Holland and Sweden), it's truly like no other '60s rock you've heard. The guitar work is often frenzied and imaginative; the vocals walk the line between tough raunch and low comedy, particularly when they mangle English phonetics (the Swing West's version of Arthur Brown's "Fire," as well as the Out Cast's butchering of "Long Tall Sally" defy printed description). Sound quality and liner notes (in English) are excellent, and cuts like the Blue Jeans "One More Please" are genuinely good fusions of pop and punk, making this a good pickup for the more adventurous '60s collector. ~ Richie Unterberger

Les Pingouins - Les Pingouins (1962-1963)

Les Pingouins sont un groupe de rock français du début des années 1960.

Ils apparaissent sur le marché du disque assez tardivement (en février 1962) par rapport à des groupes concurrents déjà bien installés tels Les Chaussettes Noires, Les Chats Sauvages, Les Pirates et Les Vautours. Ajoutons que la mode des groupes ne va pas tarder à disparaître, puisque la plupart des chanteurs des groupes de l'époque entament une carrère solo fin 1962 ou au cours de l'année suivante. 

Ceci explique peut-être la brièveté de la carrière de ce groupe pourtant jugé excellent (tant sur le plan instrumental que sur le plan vocal) par la plupart des amateurs.

Membres:
Le chanteur du groupe est Lou Vincent (Louis Locatelli). Après deux disques avec les Pingouins, il est appelé sous les drapeaux, puis démarre à son retour une carrière solo sous le nom de Thierry Vincent.
Dominique Blanc-Francard est le plus jeune du groupe (seize ans). Il est le bassiste (sous le nom de Mino).
A la batterie, c'est Gérard Hugé qui, comme le chanteur, quittera le groupe après deux disques et poursuivra sa carrière dans l'orchestration et la production.
Enfin, deux guitaristes complètent le groupe, Christian Prunier (guitare rythmique) et Gus (Alain Fournier, guitare solo, gaucher jouant sur une guitare pour droitier tenue "à l'envers").

Leur premier 45t propose quatre titres dont Regarde le Ciel (un original) et Oh, les filles !, adaptation d'un morceau américain intitulé Sugaree qui sera repris dans les années 1970 par le groupe Au Bonheur des dames. A noter que le groupe Les Chaussettes Noires avait lui aussi sa version de Sugaree avec des paroles différentes (Chérie Oh Chérie). Autre très bon morceau : Le Transistor (paroles d'Eddie Vartan) également interprété par Frankie Jordan.

Le deuxième 45t, qui sort en avril 1962 contient une splendide adaptation de Searchin' (de The Coasters) sous le titre Cherche avec des paroles de Gisèle Vesta (Eh ! bien cherche... oui cherche...). Autres adaptations sur ce même disque : Un Cœur tout neuf (également interprété par Les Chats Sauvages) et La Dee Dah.

Les deux autres (et derniers) 45t qui sortent en juillet 1962 et en juillet 1963, sont purement instrumentaux et ne touchent guère le grand public.

Group native to the suburbs is from Paris, just as the Black Socks and the Vultures. Formé of Lou Vincent of his true name Louis Locatelli (singer), Christian Prunier (guitar), Alain Legrand (rhythmic guitar), Dominique Blanc-Francard says " Mino " (bass guitar) and GéRARD RUGE, later Michel Santangeli (battery). In début the training has the name of Hooligans and the group décide to change name to adopt that of Penguins. The group makes deuxième festival of the palace of Sports and a gala à the ABC with Wildcats. Quits Lou Vincent the Penguins to make its military service, then the group becomes an instrumental training. The group makes tournée with the circus Pinder and accompanies Danny boy. The Penguins take out 45 turns some other, then later the training dissolves. Every member continues one carrière in musical domain.

Trata-se de uma compilação com temas considerados raros de vários grupos rock do Peru e que actuaram/editaram entre 1964/74.

Outside of a handful of reissues from Inca rock outfits like We All Together, Traffic Sound, and Laghonia, the Peruvian music of the rock roll era has gone largely unrecognized and underappreciated in the English-speaking world. Back to Peru, a superbly eclectic and comprehensive overview of the scene during its 1964 to 1974 heyday, goes far in correcting the error, casting a net over the best hard rock, garage, soul, and unclassifiable weirdness the country has to offer. This stuff is rare even in its native land, going far beyond the few Peruvian artists who have earned international notice into uncharted territory -- the sheer scope of the material is impressive enough, but its consistently high quality really pushes the disc over the top. Highlights include Hot Butter Sound's "Pa Pa Pa," los Holys' "Holy's Psicodelicos," and Black Sugar's "Funky Man."
