The Savages & Black Scorpio - Live [India 1969]

domingo, 18 de setembro de 2011

The Savages é uma banda indiana de rock formada nos anos 60. Este é um álbum (1969) que comprova a qualidade deste grupo da longínqua Índia e praticamente desconhecido para os ocidentais.

The Savages is an Indian rock band formed in 60 years. This is an album that proves the quality of this group of distant India and virtually unknown to Westerners.
1965 marks the year when two friends, Bashir Sheikh (Drums) and Lenny Cason (Lead Guitar), formed “The Savages”, a band that was destined to become one of India’s greatest groups!

Indian rock is a genre of popular music in India that incorporates elements of Indian music and mainstream rock and is often topically India-centric. While India is known for its northern and southern classical music, the Indian rock scene has produced numerous bands and artists.
Rock music is not something that is limited only to the west. In India also, there are a number of rock bands that have attained heights of popularity amongst the masses. Infact, many of these rock bands have received international recognition, apart from entering into the mainstream Indian music. Indian rock basically comprises of the elements of both Indian music and mainstream rock. Apart from the resident Indian rock bands, there are also numerous rock bands formed by Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and People of Indian Origin (PIOs), which are popular the world over.
India has produced many rock bands, some of whom have made it into mainstream Indian music, and achieved some international recognition.

Please repost this album. Do you have the All-India Simla Beat Contest, by any chance? And dp you have "Obssession" by Atomic Forest? Could you post Sajid Khan's album (from 1969)?
