Billy Strange (William Everett Strange) nascido a 29 de Setembro de 1930, em Long Beach, Califórnia / EUA, e falecido a 22 de Fevereiro de 2012, em Nashville, Tennessee, EUA, foi um cantor, compositor, músico, guitarrista e actor norte-americano. Começou como músico de estúdio com os Wrecking Crew, uma famosa banda de estúdio das décadas de 60 e 70, e foi introduzido no Hall of Fame e Museu dos Músicos como membro desse conjunto em 2007.
The Challengers foi uma banda de rock surf instrumental formada no final de 1962, que incluía Richard Delvy e Jim Roberts, ex-membros dos The Belairs. Eram de Los Angeles. Representaram uma simpatia crescente pela “surf music” e ajudaram a popularizar o género.
