The Young Beats o Los Young Beats / Colombia, fue una banda bogotana de los años 60. Sus fundadores fueron el italiano Roberto Fiorilli (bateria) y Álvaro Diaz (voz) a los que se agregaron Miguel Suárez (bajo) y Ernesto Suárez (guitarra). Esta es la primera formación con la que se darían a conocer. Fueron una de las bandas fundadoras del rock colombiano.
Los primeros ensayos del grupo fueron realizados en la casa de Fiorilli, interpretando temas de sus bandas favoritas: The Rolling Stones, The Animals, Them and the Small Faces, Gerry and the Pacemakers y The Beatles que influyeron tanto en la estética como el sonido de los Young Beats.
Al igual que las otras bandas de la epoca realizaron famosos covers como Gloria (Van Morrison), You Really Got Me (The Kinks), Hearts Of Stone (The Rolling Stones) y The Times They Are a-Changin' de Bob Dylan. Todo esto quedo grabado en un solo álbum/LP (1966).
La disolución del grupo coincidió con la irrupción del Rock psicodélico en Colombia expresada en proyectos como The Time Machine y The Speakers.

In November 1966, five young men entered the Suramericana de Grabaciones Studios in Bogotà, Colombia. The name of their band was Los Young Beats and they were about to record their “Tiempos, ellos estan cambiando” (The Times They Were a-Changing) LP. “They wanted us to record the usual hits of the day,” remembers Roberto Fiorilli, the group’s drummer, “but we had our own ideas. Our favourite bands were the Rolling Stones, the Animals, Them and the Small Faces, and we wanted to play their songs.” And so they did. Today this album is one of the rarest and most sought-after collectors’ items from the South American sixties beat scene. On this platter the band’s recordings are available again, along with four bonus cuts by the Time Machine, another Colombian band Roberto played with. Finally, nearly four decades later, the entire collector-world can enjoy the exciting 1966 sound of Los Young Beats.
