Los Estudiantes - Antologia (EPs 1960/1964 - Spain).

Hablar de Los Estudiantes es hablar de los orígenes de los grupos de rock en España. Influidos por los grandes del rock and roll americano del momento, comenzaron su andadura a finales de los años 50. Eran verdaderos estudiantes universitarios con en torno a los 20 años cuando formaron el grupo. Entre sus fundadores están nombres como José Barranco y los hermanos Arbex. No prodigaron las actuaciones ni tampoco las grabaciones, lo cual los envolvía en un cierto halo de misterio.

To talk about Los Estudiantes is to talk about the origins of the Spanish rock groups. Being deeply influenced by the greats of the American rock and roll of the time, they started their course by the end of the 50s. They were real university students being around 20 years old when the group was formed. Among the founders we find the names of Jose Barranco and the Arbex brothers. They do not performed too much in public halls nor edited too many records, what made a kind of mystery aura wrapped them.
